PENGUINS
Almost
all of people in the world have ever seen penguins. The penguins look like a
cute animal in some cartoon movie on television, but do you know what is the
fact of penguins exactly? What kind of animal they are? Penguin is a kind of
birds. They are a group of aquatic from order Sphenisciformes and
family Spheniscidae. Penguins have many kind of species, and they live
in several place.
Penguin
has many kinds of species, and every species has different size. The biggest
species of penguin is Emperor penguin (Eptenodytes
forsteri). It is about 1.1 m (3 ft 7
inc) and weight 35 kg or more. The smallest species of penguin is the Fairy
Penguin (Eudyptula minor), also known
as the Little Blue Penguins. It is about 40 cm (16 inc) and weight 1 kg.
Penguins
live in several place. Althought the native penguins live in the Southern Hemisphere,
penguins are not found only in Antartica. Penguins can find in Coast of South
America, South Africa, Southern Australia, and New Zealand. Penguins also can find in tropical area, like
in Galapagos islands.
Based
on the explanation above, penguin is a kind of birds that has many species. The
biggest species is Emperor penguins and the smallest species is Fairy penguins.
Every species have different size. Penguins live in the Southern Hemisphere,
but it can also find in tropical area.
